HAHNVILLE – 45

THIBODAUX – 14

For a second-straight week, Thibodaux High falls to a powerful River Parish foe. Hahnville had success both on the ground and on the air offensively, while using its stiff front seven to greatly limit the Tigers’ running game. Thibodaux needs to rebound from this two-game losing streak in a hurry.

CENTRAL LAFOURCHE – 36

EAST ST. JOHN – 33

The Trojans get a win that they absolutely, positively had to have against a Wildcats team that underwhelmed and posted a 2-8 record on the season. The Trojans are now playoff bound for the first time in Keith Menard’s tenure with the team. This victory was sparked in epic fashion, thanks to a last-second touchdown pass.

ERATH – 40

E.D. WHITE – 14

The Cardinals stumble into the playoffs after a tough defeat at the hands of Erath. The Cardinals have a stiff running game, and they’ll have to ride that asset in the playoffs if they hope to find success. They are our lone local to host in the opening round of the playoffs.

SOUTH LAFOURCHE – 27

SOUTH TERREBONNE – 0

The Tarpons’ defense pitches a shutout over a South Terrebonne offense that had scored 50 points on Ellender just six days earlier. The Tarpons head to the playoffs well rested and as healthy as they’ve been all season. Facing Bastrop in the first round of the Class 4A Playoffs won’t be easy, but the Tarpons have overcome adversity and challenges throughout the season.

TERREBONNE – 14

H.L. BOURGEOIS – 13

Kudos to coach Gary Hill for getting his Tigers ready to rock and roll on Friday night in a game that had no playoff implications for Terrebonne. For H.L. Bourgeois, the loss was the stake in the heart to the team’s season.

VANDEBILT – 37

ELLENDER – 22

The Terriers use powerful offense to surge past an Ellender team that probably should be considered a bit of a disappointment considering the talent that is on that roster. The Terriers now are on their way to the Division II Playoffs.

VARNADO – 41

HOUMA CHRISTIAN – 17

The Warriors are rebuilding this season and it showed on Thursday night in a lopsided defeat at the hands of a pretty good Vamado team. Look out for Houma Christian in 2016. They have just about everyone back and should be pretty tough to mess with.

CCA – 2

CRESCENT CITY – 0 (FORFEIT)

The Lions get their sixth win of the season by default – a walkover victory over a Crescent City team who didn’t show up to play on Friday night. This is the second year Crescent City does this. Here’s a thought – if you don’t have enough kids to play a full season, don’t field a team. CCA had its homecoming ruined because of this school’s lack of reliability and that stinks.
