SCIA donates to flood victims in Baton Rouge and Lafayette

The South Central Industrial Association (SCIA) has donated money to help flooding victims in Baton Rouge and Lafayette.

The association announced last week that it’s given $500 to the Community Foundation of Acadiana and the Baton Rouge Area Foundation to help recovery efforts.

In accepting the funds, both entities will place the money in their respective Disaster Response Funds to help those affected by August’s historic rains and devastating floods.

In a news release issued by SCIA, the association stated it wanted to give back after so many Louisiana natives lost their homes or property in the floods.

SCIA also created “Operation Rebuild” after Hurricane Katrina – part of the association’s continued effort to help folks in the state.
