This weekend will be a memorable one for a lot of high school students in the Houma-Thibodaux area.
Three area schools are set to have homecoming festivities – two in Terrebonne Parish and one in Lafourche.
South Terrebonne will have its homecoming game on Friday night and will lock horns with St. Amant – a powerhouse Class 5A school that is almost a sure-fire bet to be in the playoffs at the end of the season.
Just across the road in West Houma, Vandebilt will take on Newman at Buddy Marcello Stadium. Newman is one of the top private schools in New Orleans this season.
At Thibodaux, the Tigers will take on River Parish rival East St. John in the team’s second district game of the season.
All three games are set for 7 p.m.
