Terrebonne General Medical Center is holding its Mommy and Me support group on April 4 at the Women’s Health Center’s Multipurpose room.
The course is designed to help new families cope with the major changes brought on by having a new baby. The support group, Mommy and Me, allows new mothers the chance to get out of the house and be around other women and infants in the community, while also getting information about healthcare concerns mothers should have in the first year of their baby’s life.
A childbirth educator and lactation consultant are also available at each support group to assist mothers and answer any questions they may have.
The group meets at 10 a.m. and it is free to all families.
