Way to go, O!

LSU’s coach and one of the most well-known locals around the globe is the National College Football Coach of the Year.

Larose native Ed Orgeron won Home Depot College Coach of the Year at an awards ceremony in New York City on Thursday Night.

Orgeron mentioned our area twice during his speech, saying that he is grateful to win the honor as the sport’s top coach for the past year.

The night was huge for LSU – a sweep.
