Commissioner Donelon Puts Two Insurers Into Receivership

Both lanes of the Houma Tunnel are now open after a week of maintenance and road repairs.
The tunnel closed at 9:00 a.m. on November 8 to allow state highway crews to perform routine maintenance. On Thursday the eastbound lane reopened, however the westbound lane remained closed, allowing Terrebonne Parish Government to make repairs near Dunn Street and Lee Avenue.
According to the Department of State Transportation, the westbound lane reopened today.
