Mary Wilson Chatman, 94, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Schriever, La., died Thursday, May 21, at 12:15 a.m.


She is survived by her four sons, Rev. Gilmore Chatman, Henry Chatman and Charles Reed of Thibodaux, and Emmet Lewis of Houma; five daughters, Delores Chatman and Marion Reed of Thibodaux, Audrey Williams, Sadie Williams and Gail Crawford of Houma; one sister, Pearl W. Hicks of West Chester, Pa.; 35 grandchildren; 84 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hosea Chatman; parents, Joe and Lucy G. Wilson; four sons, Johnny Chatman Sr., Charlie and Nolan Williams and Ernest Reed; four daughters, Stella and Alice Wilson, Virginia and Irdean Allen; four brothers, Harry, Richard and Robert Wilson and Issac Newton; and seven sisters, Katie, Viola, Emily, Beatrice, Bealuh, Lula Mae and Mary Thomas.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at Morning Star Baptist Church, 108 Livas Lane, Thibodaux, La. with Religious Services to follow. Burial will be at Blue Lilly Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
