Raymond Westley Jr., 57, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA. and a resident of Thibodaux, LA., died Wednesday, March 28, 2007.


Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2007. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Howard Third Zion Traveler’s Baptist Church in Houma. Burial will be in the Crozier Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Sally D. Westley; his son, Wendell J. Dupard; his daughter, Lucinana Wright; his brothers, Milton Lee, Malcolm Anthony and Bruce Edward Westley, all of Houma, LA.; his sister, Linda Westley Steib of New Orleans, LA.; and five grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Westley Sr., and Rebecca “Betty” Stoves Westley Poindexter; his sister, Clara Ann Westley; and his grandparents, Millard and Clara Stoves and London and Eva Westley.

He enjoyed playing basketball and baseball.

He was employed by Sonoco Offshore Catering as a warehouseman.

Community Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangments.
