Lela Duplantis LeBoeuf, 93, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La. and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2007.


Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Willis “Bay” LeBoeuf and wife, Wilda, of Chauvin and Francis LeBoeuf and wife, Trudy, of Prairieville, La.; one daughter, Euralee L. Neil and husband, Druby Sr., of Chauvin; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William LeBoeuf Sr.; her parents, Joseph and Louise Carrire Duplantis; two sons, David LeBoeuf Sr. and William LeBoeuf Jr. and wife, Jackie; one daughter, Lucy Mae LeBoeuf; two brothers, Joseph “Neg” Duplantis and Sidney “Polo” Duplantis; four sisters, Gertrude Pinell, Naomie LeCompte, Julie Anne Hebert and Louise Hebert; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
