September 4, 2013Alvin Joseph Blanchard, 95, a native of Bayou Blue, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013.
Mr. Blanchard was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons, Melvin and Alvin Jr. Blanchard; daughter, Anna Dupre; brothers, Gary and Horace Blanchard; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel LeBouef; parents, Eugene and Eunice Blanchard; stepmother, Virginia Blanchard; brother, Jeffery Blanchard; and sisters, Mae Leblanc, Pearl Trahan and Theresa Naquin.
Burial is at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. (Chauvin)
