James (Jim) O. Nichols, 76, a native of Fayettville, Tn., and a resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, March 22, at 2:40 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Martin Nichols; daughters, Annesa Lirette, Sheila Boudreaux and Sarah LeBouef; sisters, Sue Adams and Peggy Moore; and grandchildren, Justin Lirette and fiancé Hallie Grabert, Donovan Smith and Matthew Boudreaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Lilli Mae West Nichols; sons, Ricky and Andy Nichols; and brothers, Joe, Wayne and Leslie Nichols.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
A memorial service was held Thursday, March 26, at Falgout Funeral Home of Houma.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
