Wanda Robertson Canafax, 73, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2010.
Mrs. Canafax enjoyed spending time with her loving family who surrounded her through her life and most of all loved her grandchildren with all her heart.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Douglas Canafax; daughters, Gina Grace Gauthier and Terri (Samuel) Matherne; sons, Michael Jr. (Debra) Gauthier and James (Angel) Canafax; brother, Duell Robertson; five grandchildren, Jake Fabre, Matthew and Cori Matherne, and Jace and Cade Canafax; her life-long friend, Beverly LeBoeuf Upchurch; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Corrine Sear Robertson; brothers, Norris, Ashby, Farrel and Enoch Robertson; and two sisters, Molly Boudreaux and Grace Thibodaux.
She is buried at First Presbyterian Church of Bayou Blue, La.
