Virginia Juneau Guichet, 64, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Brandon, Miss., died Friday, Sept. 18, at 9 a.m.


She is survived by two sons, Louis J. Guichet III of Brandon and Craig Guichet Sr. of Niceville, Fla.; one sister, Cynthia Fanguy; and eight grandchildren, George Guichet, Craig Guichet II, Jean-luc Guichet, Gigi Guichet of Gulfport, Miss., and Lily Guichet, Madeline Guichet, Blake Pietrowski and Aleka Pietrowski of Brandon.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Magnus Sunge and Elise Sunge; and husband, Louis Joseph Guichet Jr.

She was a homemaker, a paralegal and a pharmacist assistant.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
