Robert “Buck” Hall, 97, a native of Napoleonville, La., and resident of Donaldsonville, La., died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013.
Mr. Hall was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired employee of Avondale Shipyard. He was “Father of the Church” and an honorary deacon at Shekinah Glory Christian Fellowship. His hobby was landscaping.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Hall; daughters, Bernita Landry and Benella (Vernon) Williams; son, Wilbert Hall; sister, Myrtle Willis; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Winnie Hall; sisters, Gloria Joseph, Alice Keyes and Lubertha Smith; and brothers, Louis, George, Achain and Charles Jr. Hall.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at Shekinah Glory Christian Fellowship with services to follow. Burial with military honors will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Napoleonville. (Williams & Southall)
