Michael Scelfo, 62, a native and resident of Franklin, La., died Saturday, June 8, 2013.
Mr. Scelfo was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was a boat captain for over 30 years. He loved being on the water and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his mother, Gladys Scelfo; and sisters, Darlene Scelfo, Monica (Carl Jr.) Carline, Carmelita (Mike) Mire and Rose Mary Thibodaux.
He was preceded in death by his father, Camille Scelfo; and sister, Jane Gates.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Ibert’s Mortuary with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Interment will be at Perpetual Park Cemetery. (Ibert’s)
