Joseph “Boy” Toups, 75, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Tuesday, July 1.


He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rose Danos Toups; three sons, Randy “Nom” Toups, Larkie “Grabon” Toups and Manuel “T-Man” Toups; two daughters, Pauline Plaisance and Audrey Gaspard and husband, Murry Sr.; two brothers, Roger Toups Sr. and Dallas Toups; five sisters, Martha Hunter, Lou Ann Guidroz, Molly Toups, Bonnie Guidry and Lynn Taylor; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Viola Adams Toups; one granddaughter, Cera Toups; and two sisters, Una Vining and Delta Pitre.

He was Catholic.

He was buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in Galliano, La.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
