January 9, 2012Mary Emsley Vrooman Styron, 82, a native of California and resident of Houma, La., died at 3:09 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012.
Ms. Styron was retired from the Navy Exchange in Long Beach, Calif., after 16 years of service.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Ronald) Brunet, Barbara Styron and Phyllis Douglas; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Dorothy Vrooman; sons, Clifford McCrary, Robert Melbe Sr. and an infant son, and sisters, Judy and Blanch.
Burial was at Rogers Cemetery in Houma. (Samart)
