Nicholls State pays tribute to 1998 baseball champs

Naomi Crawford Cunningham, 93, a native of Narrows, Va., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, April 26, at 5:30 p.m.
She is survived by her daughters, Nadine Huerta and husband Sid, Evelyn Wallace and husband Richard, Gladys Dudjak, Iva Bellefleur, Gain Zirkle and husband Garry, Elaine Bradley, Rebecca Westra and husband Lubbert; brothers, Alfred and Eugene Crawford; sister, Mary Louise Scarbro; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Darest Cunningham; parents, William G. and Sarah Brackens Crawford; brothers, Arthur, Woodrow and Paul Crawford; sister, Gladys Caudill; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Samart Funeral Home with the funeral to follow.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La. is in charge of the arrangements.
