Gertrude (Gert) Brunet Josey, 97, a native of Bayou Dularge, La., and resident of Schriever, La., died on Friday, September 22, 2017.
Mrs. Josey was a parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church and served on the board of the Schriever Senior Citizens Center. She was a past member of the Ladies Altar Society, the Daylily Society and Schriever Homemakers. During World War II she served with the American Red Cross. She was an avid gardener and shared her love of flowers and plants with everyone.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Rogers, Betty, Robert (Charlene) and Jimmy (Renea) Josey; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery in Schriever.
