Jimmie Paul Hollingsworth, 61, a native of Asheville, N.C., and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012.
Mr. Hollingsworth served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a self employed carpenter who enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Hollingsworth; daughter, Rhonda Margiotta; son, James Margiotta; mother, Lettie Hollingsworth; brother, Michael Hollingsworth; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Covert Hollingsworth; daughter, Cherie Martin; and brothers, Bobby and Jerry Hollingsworth. (Chauvin)
