November 7, 2011Angela Parker Poindexter, 49, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011.
Mrs. Poindexter was Baptist, a member of Church of God of Prophecy and a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Andrew Poindexter; brothers, Eugene Myles Sr., Thomas Jr., Marvin, Rodney, Tony (Kimyotta), Torray, Don (Prunella) and Cantrelle (Mora) Picou; and sisters, Patricia Moses, Rhonda (Maverick) Henderson and Latoya Picou.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Poindexter Sr.; parents, Thomas Picou Sr. and Doris Parker; brother, Raymond Myles Jr.; and grandparents, Thomas and Flossie Picou and Sylvester Sr. and Viola Parker.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home. Religious services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Church of God of Prophecy, with burial at Southdown Cemetery. (Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne)
