Louise Thibodaux Benoit, 97, a native and resident of Choctaw, La., died at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday, June 17.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry, Autry, Lloyd, Irvin, Peter, Paul and Richard Benoit; daughters, Tessie Hebert, Virgie Ross, Sally Templet, Merleane Molaison, Hazel Frace, Elma Wilson, Erma Usea and Patricia Landry; sister, Mary Boudreaux; 55 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Joseph “Buckaroo” Benoit; her parents, Allen Thibodaux and Tolene Hebert Thibodaux; sons, Arthur, Ronnie and Vernon Benoit; brothers, Ozme, Anisai, Allen and Claude Thibodaux; sisters, Ozaimon Ordogne and Eliza Tabor; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, followed by mass at Thibodaux Funeral Home. She will be buried at St. James Cemetery in Choctaw.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
