Remember FIDO’s gift
December 23, 2009Joseph W. Tastet, 98, a lifelong native of Lockport, La., died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009.
Mr. Tastet was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons, Leroy, Stanley, Tilden (JoAnn) and Bobby (Betty) Tastet; daughters, Alice (Nessie) Plaisance and Catherine (Leon) Klingman; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Griffin Tastet; parents, Felician and Uranine Schouest Tastet; brothers, Edmond, Louis, Albert and Robert Tastet; sisters, Josephine and Helen Vedros, Inez Hotard, Alma Dannous, Felican Rivet and Lucille Autin.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Falgout Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Savior Catholic Church.
He will be buried Wednesday at Holy Savior Catholic Church Cemetery.
