Maude D. Short, 69, a native of Ruth, Ms. and a resident of Gray, La., died Tuesday, September 18, 2007.
She is survived by her three sons, Kelvin Chavalier Ruffin, Fitzerald Bouvier Ruffin, and Peter Dontrell Short; one daughter, Nickole Lana Baker; one brother, Jewel L. Harness; two sisters, Modenia Upton and Alberta Buckley; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Short; her parents, Leon Harness and Vivian Campbell Brooks; two brothers, J.M. Harness and Robert Harness; and two sisters, Irene Harness and Ado Cockerham.
Visitation is Saturday, September 22, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at Community Funeral Home. She will be buried in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Gray, La.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
