Joseph “Big Joe” Sevin Jr., 72, a native and resident of Labadieville, La., died in the presence of his loving family Sunday, January 25, at 9 a.m.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mildred Breaux Sevin; sons, Kevin “Wino” and wife Penny Cavalier Sevin, Kenneth “Sticky” and wife Penny Hebert Sevin, and Kerry “Sweet” and wife Shelley Blanchard Sevin; grandchildren, Beckie Jo, Beau James and Jessica Lynn Sevin; great-grandchildren, Kynzli J. Rivere and Baby Sevin; sisters, Ivy Chaisson and Gladys Talbot; mother-in-law, Irene Breaux; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sevin Sr. and Teresa Himel Sevin; and brother, Eddie “EJ” Sevin.
Pallbearers were Kevin “Wino” Sevin, Kenneth “Sticky” Sevin, Kerry “Sweet” Sevin, Robert “Shortstop” Brewer Jr., Beau Sevin and Edward Blanchard.
Burial was at St. Philomena Catholic Church Cemetery in Labadieville.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
