Lafourche Parish committee formed to fix jail woes

Delores Barrios Kieff, 81, a native and resident of St. Bernard, La., died Sunday, April 6, at 6:50 p.m.
She is survived by her sons, Forrest Jr., Robert and Ricky Kieff; daughters, Mary Ann Smith, Gloria Jean Prattini, Ethel Mae Naquin, Ramona Lucas, Debra Schmidt, Theresa Fontenot and Jane Falgout; brother, Clifford Barrios; sisters, Dorothy Pelas and Estella Alecish; 38 grandchildren; and 71 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Joseph Kieff Sr.; parents, Robert and Viola Jackson Barrios; sons, Gary and Michael Kieff; daughters, Tammy Marie Kieff and Elaine Spotts; and brothers, Vincent, Robert and Danny Barrios.
She was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church at 2320 Paris Road in Chalmette, La. A mass of Christian burial will follow. She will be buried at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
