"Comic Potential" (Houma)

Set in a television studio in the near future, the play features a director and two assistants making a daytime soap opera of the usual appalling sort. The stars are actoids, robots programmed to act. Idealistic Adam wants to write Chaplin and Keatonesque comedy, and falls in love with Jacie Triplethree (JC333), one of the actoids, who is growing more human by the day. When the regional director threatens to ruin the project and wipe the android’s memory clean, Adam panics and kidnaps Jacie. Along the way, the pair fall in love.
