River Region Ballet (Destrehan).


“Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker,” Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 10, at 2 p.m., at Destrehan High School Auditorium, #1 Wildcat Lane. A case of over 75 dancers has been assembled for this production, which is staged and choreographed by artistic director Susan Ferrara. Eleanor Bernard Carney and Ian Carney will dance the principal roles of the Snow Queen and King and the Sugar Plum Fair and Cavalier. Tickets are $15.
