Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra “Fiesta Sinfonica” (New Orleans) Jan. 12, 8 p.m., at the Convention Center Theatre, 900 Convention Center Blvd. Conducted Carlos Miguel Prieto, featured performer clarinetist Paquito D’Rivera and the orchestra will present Villa-Lobos: Bachianas Brasileiras No. 2; Marquez: Danzon No. 2; Moncayo: Huapango; Ginastera: Malambo from Estancia; and D’Rivera: Selected works. LSU and Charlie’s Preservation Society Presents: TriFactor (New Orleans) Jan. 13, 8 p.m., at the Contemporary Arts Center, 900 Camp St. TriFactor features world-class experimental jazz musicians violinist Billy Bang; baritone saxophonist Hamiet Bluiett; and percussionist Kahil El’Zbar.
