“Games Faces: LSU Sports,” through Aug. 23. The exhibit features LSU sports memorabilia and artifacts, a few dating back to the early 20th century, such as the1907 football that was used in a game in Cuba and track shoes worn by track star Al Moreaux.

“American Masters from the Blanton Museum of Art’s Mari and James A. Michener Collection,” through Nov. 30. Nearly 40 paintings trace the development of 20th Century Americana painting, from the gritty realism of Robert Henri to the startling pop art of Robert Indiana to the experimental abstraction of Alan Cote.
