Baton Rouge Symphony “3rd annual Barbeque of Seville” (Baton Rouge) March 18, 5 p.m., at the Baton Rouge Community College: Magnolia Performing Arts Pavillion. Tickets are $30. For more info: (225) 383-0500. The event will combine two great tastes: A barbeque feast by Whole Foods Market and a concert with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. Maestro Timothy Muffit will conduct the orchestra.


Contemporary Arts Center “The Music of New Orleans Series: Tom McDermott and Friends’ New Traditional Jazz” (New Orleans) March 9, 8 p.m., at the Contemporary Arts Center in the Freeport McMoRan Theater. Tickets are $15 for CAC members, $20 general admission. Joining McDermott will be Tim Laughlin, Rick Troslen, Matt Perrine, Jamil Sharif and Jason Marsalis. Tickets are available at www.cacno.org.

“I Can’t Stop Loving You” (Baton Rouge) March 17, at 8 p.m., at the RiverCenter Theatre, 275 River Rd. Tickets are $30, $40 and $50, and are available through Ticketmaster. Direct from London’s West End, the smash-hit show rocks with the legendary music of Ray Charles.


Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra “Brahams & Chopin” (New Orleans) Feb. 1 and 3, 8 p.m., at Roussel Hall, Loyola University. Conducted by Klauspeter Seibel with Idil Biret on piano. Program will include works by Mozart, Chopin and Brahms. Tickets are $25-$65. For more info: (504) 523-6530.

“Beethoven & Beyond,” March 8 at 7:30 p.m., and March 10, at 8 p.m., at Dixon Hall, Tulane University. Conducted by Klauspeter Seibel. Tickets are $25-60.

“March Madness,” March 14, 7:30 p.m., at the Pontchartrain Center, Kenner. Conducted by Michael Nowak and hosted by Chuck Miller, of WWNO. Casual Classics subscribers vote their favorite composers and pieces and determine the selection of the Final Four main pieces. Tickets are $25-65.

“All Mozart WeekendnNight 1,” March 29, at 7:30 p.m., at Roussel Hall on Loyola University’s campus in New Orleans. Conducted by Carlos Miguel Prieto and featuring pianist Jorge Federico Osorio. Tickets are $25-65. “Night 2” will be presented at Roussel Hall March 31 at 8 p.m.
