"The Diviners" (Thibodaux)

Set in rural Indiana during the 1930s, the play centers on Buddy Layman, a young man who suffered a brain injury as a child because of a near drowning. He’s since developed a fear of water and a mysterious power to divine water. When C.C. Showers shows up, the disillusioned preacher befriends the boy and brings him much-needed freedom from his fear.
