The Bayou Community Foundation has gratefully received a substantial donation of $25,000 from Chevron. This generous contribution is earmarked to support the “Holidays in the Bayou” grants, which will directly benefit various local nonprofit organizations. The BCF plans to allocate these funds to specific initiatives dedicated to enhancing the holiday experience for families and children served by three prominent local nonprofits.

Hope Extreme, The Haven, Inc., and South Louisiana Veteran Outreach are set to receive financial support from the grants where local families and children these nonprofits serve in Terrebonne and Lafourche will benefit during this holiday season. “Thank you to our partners at Chevron for your continued investment in the people of our Bayou Region,” reads a statement from BCF.

The vision of the BCF is to strengthen their local capacity to create a compassionate and sustainable coastal community for generations to come. The organization achieves this vision through strategic investments in educational success for children and adults; protection and preservation of our coasts; and human services. The BCF service area is Terrebonne Parish, Lafourche Parish, and Grand Isle.
