The deadline to submit applications for the Restore Louisiana Small Business Loan Program is Dec. 31, 2023 – don’t wait! This federal recovery program provides zero-interest, partially forgivable loans for non-construction expenses to eligible small businesses and nonprofits that were affected by 2020-21 disaster events. Small businesses that meet the below criteria are encouraged to apply for assistance before the deadline, to avoid missing out on this opportunity for critical recovery assistance.

To qualify for a loan, businesses must meet the following criteria:

  • 1 to 50 full-time employees (35 hours or more per week)

  • Open at the time of the disaster event (meaning the business was in operation)

  • Minimum $25,000 in annual gross revenues before the disaster event

  • Located in one of the parishes eligible for program participation, shown here (PDF)

  • Experienced either a financial or physical loss as a result of one of the 2020-21 disaster events

  • Have an eligible unmet need after accounting for duplication of benefits

To apply for a loan through the Restore Louisiana Small Business Loan Program, contact one of the program’s participating lenders, which will submit an application for the loan on your behalf. Visit restore.la.gov/SBLP to find the lender servicing your area.
