Get ready for the ultimate quack-tastic event of the year! Join the members of the Houma Elks Lodge #1193 for their upcoming Duck Derby Extravaganza on Saturday, November 11, 2023 in the Downtown Houma Bayou Park!

Every dollar raised will directly support these remarkable causes, allowing us to continue our vital work throughout the year!”
The Duck Derby Extravaganza will offer fun for all ages, including:
- All-new Duck Hunt: This year, participants can enjoy a special scavenger hunt around the Houma Elks Lodge! Hunters will search for wooden ducks, metal ducks, painting of ducks, and more hidden around the area, following clues to find special ducks worth extra points. The team or individual hunter with the most points will win the Grand Prize of $250, with Second Place winning $100 and Third Place $50. Don’t miss this opportunity to ‘hunt for ducks’ for a prize!

“We started our Duck Derby Extravaganza in 2019, but we lost everything in Hurricane Ida and couldn’t continue for a while,” explained Brenda Babin with the Houma Elks Lodge #1193. “Insurance covered lots of the costs to rebuild, but what it didn’t cover was the money in our charity account– so now, we are focused on rebuilding that. We do a lot of work for the veterans in our area, and we are so glad to finally have the opportunity to put on this event and raise money for our charity. As long as there are veterans, the Elks will always be there for them.”
