Holly Jolly Christmas Party | December 15 from 5 –7 p.m. | Central Lafourche High School-The CLHS Performing Arts Club presents a Holly Jolly Christmas Party! The party will be held in the gym at CLHS. Enjoy free fun and games for children of all ages. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.) Wear your favorite PJs!

Deck the Halls Home Tours | December 15 from 6 –9 p.m. | Thibodaux– Celebrate the beauty of the season! Six homes in Thibodaux will deck their halls for guests to tour and enjoy, benefitting Light Up Lafourche! Light Up Lafourche is an organization that brings the magic of Christmas to homes in Lafourche Parish with lit and decorated trees. Tickets are $35.

Choice Book Sale | December 15-17 | Terrebonne Parish Main Library – The Friends of the Terrebonne Public Library inventory of thousands of best-selling books by popular authors will be available for purchase at $10 a bag at the Main Library on the following dates: December 15 & 16: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; December 17: 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Proceeds benefit the programming of the Terrebonne Parish Library System.


A Christmas Nightmare – A Haunted Christmas Event | December 15 and 16 from 6 – 11:30 p.m. | 148 Clendenning Road, Houma– The two day event will feature a Decomposed Haunted House. During your journey, you will encounter a disgruntled Santa, kids that are on the naughty list, the Gingerbread Witch, and an entire cast of sinister little elves that are busy packing the carriage hearse full of presents to return them home because Christmas is cancelled. Decomposed Haunted House has transformed into a winter wonderland of horror where Christmas carols are turned upside down and Frosty is melting away. General admission tickets are $25 each.

Holiday Comedy Night | December 15 from 8 – 10 p.m. | Bayou Terrebonne Distillers– Featuring the incredibly talented headliner, Shane Torres, known for his appearances on Conan, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central, and NBC’s Last Comic Standing. The event will also showcase the comedic brilliance of JP Leonard, with Isaac Kozell as the host. Tickets are priced at $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Must be 18+ to attend. Show may contain explicit content.

Grinchmas on the Bayou | December 16 seatings at 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. | Ward 7 Citizens Club, Chauvin– Enjoy a special breakfast with Grinch, DJ Rhett. Breakfast includes green pancakes, hot chocolate, crafts, face painting, storytime and more. Tickets are $10 per child. Photos with the Grinch are an additional $5. This event is a fundraiser for the South Terrebonne High School Band to perform in Disney World.

Holiday Pop-Up Shop | December 16 from 8am – 1pm | Lafourche Central Market – The Lafourche Central Market in Raceland presents a Holiday Pop-Up Shop! Enjoy Christmas music, food, local vendors, hot coco, free gifts for children and more!

Native Santa is Coming to Town | December 16 from – 11 a.m. | Gray and Dulac– Native Santa will make two local stops! His first stop is at 9 a.m. in Gray at 140 Bayou Blue Bypass Road, his second stop is at 11 a.m. in Dulac at 125 Coast Guard Road.


LouisianaLIT: Randolph Saves Christmas | December 16 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Bayou Terrebonne Waterlife Museum– December’s featured author will be Pat Hornsby Crochet, author of Randolph Saves Christmas. “Owww-ooo, something is waking up every critter in the Louisiana swamp. It’s Randolph, the loud-mouthed coon dog! Who knew that a pup so small could howl so big? He is so loud he might even scare Santa away!” reads the book’s official summary. “Poor Randolph hides deep in the swamp where he hopes no one will hear him. He never imagined that his late night baying would actually save the day as he leads a new friend out of the swamp in this delightfully original holiday tale with a familiar feel. Complete with a new version of the classic Christmas song about a certain reindeer who was also a little bit different, this adorable holiday adventure is sure to have readers of all ages howling with delight!” Admission is $3 for adults, and $2 for kids. Attendees are encouraged to wear their Christmas pajamas for this interactive reading!

Winter Wonderland | December 16 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. | Southdown Museum, Houma– Enjoy entertainment, bourse house, petting zoo, Christmas crafts, food trucks, train rides and even snow at the one day family fun event! Admission to the event is free.

BCCM’s Papa Noel | December 16 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. | Bayou Country Children’s Museum– Crafts, games, story time and snap your own picture with Santa! Session 1: 3 – 5 p.m.; Session 2: 6 – 8 p.m. $8 for members; $10 for nonmembers, $15 day of.


Supper with Santa Cow | December 16 from – 7 p.m. | Chick-fil-A, West Houma– Enjoy supper with Santa Cow, along with photo opportunities, crafts, cookie decorating and more!

Ala Bayou Terrebonne Christmas Boat Parade | December 16 from 5:45 – 7 p.m. | Bayou Terrebonne– Come see Santa ride down Bayou Terrebonne and greet all the boys and girls! Light your boat up and join in on the fun and ride, or watch from the bank, all are welcome. The parade begins at at Company Canal and rides to Humble Canal. There is no entry fee or anything like that, light your boat up and join in on the fun. Just show up the day of before 5:30pm to get in the line up. Krewe of Hercules Christmas Luncheon | December 17 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Houma Municipal Auditorium– The Krewe of Hercules is hosting their Christmas Luncheon for the elderly and needy. Food and drink will be provided. Entertainment will be by Philip Cheramie. Santa Claus will arrive at noon for the children! Terrebonne Council on Aging will provide bus transportation.


Sip and Shop with Santa | December 17 from 1 – 4 p.m. | Da Boot Nutrition– Shop with local vendors and get your hands on some unique, hand-crafted gifts for your loved ones. But that’s not all! At 2:00 pm, Santa will arrive to take pictures free with any purchase at Da Boot Nutrition. Vendors in attendance include Ohana Candles, Bear & Bee, Lemons and Crumbs, Love and October, Ydren Creative, and Cajun Soul Sista’s Jewelry.

A Festive Christmas | December 17 from – 5 p.m. | Regional Military Museum, Houma– The Houma-Terrebonne Community Band presents its annual Christmas Concert! This year’s concert is conducted by Mrs. Karen Dusenberry and Mrs. Merita Petrie. The $10 admission donation benefits both organizations.
