Hope Restored Christmas Tour of Homes | December 8 from 5 – 9 p.m. | Houma– Get into the holiday spirit as you explore beautifully decorated homes in our community. Experience the magic of the holiday season as you admire the twinkling lights and enchanting decorations. This in-person event promises to be a wonderful opportunity to spend time with friends and family, and get inspired for your own holiday decor. Tickets are $35 per person. All proceeds benefit Hope Restored Pregnancy Resource Center.

Carol & The Belles: A Christmas Musical Production | December 8 from 7 – 9 p.m. | Galliano Elementary Gym– Club 1273 Music & Art Academy present Carol & The Belles: A Christmas Musical Production. Tickets are $10.

Toys for Tots Toy Drive | December 9 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Westside Walmart parking lot, Houma– Toys for Tots, sponsored by Marine Corps League Det. 475 and Norma A. Liner Aux. Group, will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys. Enjoy activities for children, including photos with Indian Santa and the TFT elves! Live music by Rick Price from 9-11 a.m., and Tony B. from 12-2 p.m.

Native Santa is Coming to Town | December 9 from 9 – 10 a.m. | Westside Walmart, Houma– Native Santa will be a part of the Toys for Tots event!

Christmas Giveback Bayou Blue Recreation | December 9 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Bayou Blue Recreation Center– Join Bayou Blue Recreation for their Christmas Giveback event to celebrate the holidays! Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a toy, games and more! Please join in giving back by bringing a non-perishable item to be donated.

Cookies and Crumpets | December 9 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Nicholls Ballroom– Join this special family event in your Christmas best where you, your children and grandchildren will enjoy a unique Christmas experience with visits from Most Reverend Mario E. Dorsonville, St. Nicholas, Mrs. Claus and St. Nicholas’ special spiritual elves. Guests will enjoy Christmas carols by We & Mrs. Jones, served hors d’oeuvres, Christmas cookies, citrus punch for kids, mimosas and champagne for adults , letters to St. Nicholas and much more! Each child will leave with a special Christmas bell from our Bishop to ring Christmas morning to celebrate the birth of Christ! Children of all ages are welcome! Tickets: adults $50, children $30, children under 2 free.

Sugarplum Shindig | December 9 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. | Rendezvous, Thibodaux– Calling all elves! Put on your baker’s cap and let’s decorate gingerbread houses! Enjoy food, snacks and delicious beverages too.

Teddy Bear Tea | December 9 from 10 a.m.– 5 p.m. | Dansereau House, Thibodaux– We are now accepting reservations for our Teddy Bear Tea Party! There are four tea times available, but seating is limited. Dates are Saturday, December 9 & Sunday, December 10 first seating: 10 – 12; second seating: 3 p.m – 5 p.m. A visit from Santa with story time and a Teddy Bear. Enjoy our Cookie Decorating Station, Hot Chocolate Station and Christmas Mimosas for the adults (21 and up) Tickets are $60 for adults and $50 for children ages 2 – 11. Children under 2 are free. Bayou Christmas Teddy Bear Tea | December 9 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. | Chez Felicite’– The elves are busy preparing for the return of A Bayou Christmas Teddy Bear Tea at Chez Felicite’. This festive event will be the perfect holiday experience to share with children and grandchildren. Enjoy a presentation of delicious holiday food, specialty teas, hot chocolate, and tasty pastries. Holiday characters will entertain and delight with music, story time and games all under our enchanted pavilion. All children in attendance will receive a special teddy bear gift followed by a teddy bear parade. Be sure to sit for a family photo in our beautifully decorated fairytale holiday carriage. Tickets for adults are $50; children 2-11 are $35; children under 2 are free. Reservations are required.

Christmas at The Oaks of Thibodaux | December 9 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. | The Oaks Venue, 108 St. Patrick Hwy.- Celebrate Christmas at The Oaks of Thibodaux! This kid-focused event features Cheramie Farms petting zoo, face painting, train rides, Christmas movies, pony rides, ornament decorating, and pictures with Santa. Adults can shop at the many craft booths while kids can enjoy the many activities! Adults are free with the purchase of a $25 child’s ticket.

Cajun Craftin’ with Santa | December 9 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. | GATR Coolers, Thibodaux– Heaux heaux heaux, the Cajun Santa Claus is coming to town! Join us at GATR Coolers of Thibodaux for Cajun Craftin’ with Santa on Saturday, December 9.  Children are invited to decorate and bedazzle their very own GATR-made Christmas ornament, enjoy Christmas jingles and a hot chocolate bar with all the fixins, and take your photo with the big man in red! Santa’s also got a very special GATR gift (valued at $19.99) for each child who joins us. Bring your kiddos by for a jolly good time and get into the holiday spirit! Each child participating must reserve a ticket at the time slot of your choice. We can’t wait to see you, friends

BCCM’s Papa Noel | December 9 from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. | Bayou Country Children’s Museum– Crafts, games, story time and snap your own picture with Santa! Session 1: 3 – 5 p.m.; Session 2: 6 – 8 p.m. $8 for members; $10 for nonmembers, $15 day of.

Luminate Houma | December 9 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Memorial Fountain, Downtown Houma– The band Orange will join in the fun for this month’s Luminate Houma! This is a benefit for Richard Cheramie, a member of Orange. This event is free to the public with exceptional local talent; bring your fold-out chairs and get ready to enjoy the show. Food and drinks will be available at local establishments within walking distance like the Boxer & The Barrel, Mahony’s, Milano’s, Downtown Jeaux, Dominique’s Bistro, Lumiere Blues & Jazz Bistro, & Bayou Terrebonne Distillers.In addition to great food & a great show, the Bayou Regional Arts Council will be showcasing our local artists with their art as well.

3rd annual Pictures with Santa | December 9 from 6 – 7 p.m. | 115 Rusty Lane, Houma-Join the Champagne’s Third Annual Pictures with Santa. Bring your family and tell all you friends to ride by 115 Rusty Lane to get pictures of the kiddos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and many more. We would like to encourge as many to dress up. Also please have a talk with the older children not to spoil the Christmas spirit for the younger ones.
