April 5, 2019The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office will hold a seatbelt, then DWI checkpoint on Friday night and into Saturday morning.
During the seatbelt checkpoint, deputies will check for seatbelt and safety seat violations and inspection tags and other violations.
During the DWI checkpoint, deputies will be looking for drivers who are possibly impaired, while checking for other safety issues.
The checkpoints are designed to help raise awareness for these types of violations and to try and make the highways safer for motorists.
