On Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report that a child under 12 years of age had been touched inappropriately by an adult relative.
Sheriff Tim Soignet said the case was referred to the Special Victims Unit and an investigation was begun.
As a result of information compiled by detectives, an arrest was made of John Tullis Hellier, 73, of Houma, on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, for two counts of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.
Bond was set in the amount of $200,000.
