The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people following a raid of a local residence.
A narcotics investigation resulted in a search warrant being conducted at 121 Wayne Avenue at the home of Kendall Parker Jr., 24, of Houma.
Before the search warrant was issued, authorities obtained three-separate arrest warrants for Parker for three counts of distribution of heroin and three counts of transactions involving drug proceeds.
The search warrant was executed by TPSO Narcotics Division and SWAT Team members during the early-morning hours of April 16. Upon executing the warrant, Parker was located inside the residence and was taken into custody on the above-mentioned warrants.
Jacqueline Bates, 23, of Houma, was also located inside the residence at the time the warrant was executed.
During the search, TPSO found about 37 grams of marijuana, some prescription pills, suboxone strips, a Glock 9mm handgun, $960 in cash and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Parker was arrested in reference to the above-listed warrants and also now for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone, possession of Suboxone, possession of Hydrocodone, transactions involving drug proceeds and possession of a firearm while in possession of controlled dangerous substances.
Bates, too, was arrested. She was given the same charges as Parker – possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone, possession of Suboxone, possession of Hydrocodone, transactions involving drug proceeds and possession of a firearm while in possession of controlled dangerous substances.
Both suspects are in jail without bond.
