The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office is aggressively searching for two men it believes are responsible for an armed robbery at a Thibodaux motel on Monday night.

Deputies and detectives were called to a motel on St. Mary Street in Thibodaux on Monday in reference to a robbery. 


Through investigation, detectives learned that two men and a woman were inside a motel room with the door open on Monday night.

At around 7:40 p.m., two unknown armed male suspects allegedly barged into the room with handguns, demanding money. 

When the victims told the suspects that they didn’t have any, the suspects allegedly struck the two males in the face. The suspects took the victims’ wallets and cash and then left the room.


The suspects are described as white males. They had on black shirts, black masks and sunglasses at the time of the robbery. Both also had handguns.

The suspects may have been in a tan-colored truck, believed to be an older model Toyota.

Information which leads to an arrest may net a $1,000 cash reward.
