A Thibodaux man is in custody of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office after allegedly robbing a Galliano store at gun-point.
At around 1:15 p.m. yesterday, detectives responded to a call of an armed robbery at a grocery store on West Main Street in Galliano.
Upon arrival, authorities learned a male wearing all black entered the store, pulled out a gun and demanded money from a cashier.
Upon leaving the scene, authorities learned that the man left the scene and fled to a residence on West 185th Street.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for the residence and upon arrival, they made contact with the owner and also Charleston Every, 30, of Thibodaux, who was inside.
Detectives discovered evidence at the residence and developed Every as a suspect in the robbery.
They then obtained a warrant for his arrest and took him into custody.
Every is charged with one count of armed robbery.
He is held on a $25,000 bond.
