On September 5, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Houma Police Department received a call regarding an armed individual involved in a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 200 block of Polk Street. Shortly after arrival, responding Houma Police Department officers were fired upon by a subject at the residence. This resulted in three of the officers discharging their service weapons.

Late last night, LSP was called to investigate an officer-involved shooting involving the Houma Police Department in the area of Main Street and Polk Street.

Approximately 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen from Terrebonne Parish pump station.

Houma man arrested for second degree murder.

A Cut-Off man was found guilty of 1st Degree Rape and Sexual Battery by a Lafourche Parish jury earlier today.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects responsible for a 2020 Homicide that occurred in Gray.

Thibodaux Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened shortly before 2:00 a.m. this morning. One subject was transported to a hospital after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds.

The pedestrian was walking in the roadway of LA Hwy 182 when he was struck by 34-year-old Damion Jones of Gray. After striking the pedestrian, Jones left the scene. The crash ultimately claimed the life of the pedestrian.

A Vermillion Parish man has been arrested in reference to threats he made to a Lafourche Parish woman and her family. He reportedly threatened to shoot the family including the children.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Houma man in connection with an ongoing investigation being conducted by Special Victim’s Unit Detectives of the Sheriff’s Office. Jeffrey James Falgout was arrested for Indecent Behavior with a 10-year-old. The suspect was previously charged in 2020 with a similar case.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Dulac woman in connection with an Arson Investigation for her involvement in an August 10, 2022, structure fire on Rose Street in Dulac.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced narcotics agents have arrested four men in connection with an investigation into fentanyl pills.

Sheriff Tim Soignet is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man responsible for a theft of approximately $1,000.00 that occurred at a local Terrebonne business.
