The Houma Police Department is looking for a suspect that broke into a local school.

On Nov. 17, just after noon, HPD was called to Acadian Elementary in reference to a burglary.

During investigation, authorities learned that an unknown male shattered a glass door to the school, gained entry and stole a container with an unknown amount of cash.


During investigation, authorities were able to secure surveillance images of the suspect (seen in this story) and they’re asking for public help for identification.

HPD said the burglary occurred before 8 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2019.

HPD is still looking at surveillance to try and get better images for the public.
