Suspect accused of kidnapping, beating his ex-girlfriend

A 59-year-old Thibodaux man is in custody of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office after he allegedly raped an elderly woman.
On Dec. 22, 2017, detectives opened an investigation in reference to Michael Adams, 59, of Thibodaux.
Authorities learned that Adams allegedly committed a sexual battery on an elderly woman on Nov. 3 and again on Dec. 21. The first incident occurred in Lafourche and the second in Terrebonne Parish.
Detectives made contact with the suspect later that day and he allegedly admitted to making sexual contact with the elderly woman.
Adams was booked in the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on one count of sexual battery of the infirmed.
He was also booked as fugitive of Terrebonne Parish on the same charge.
He is held on a $50,000 bond.
