A Golden Meadow man was arrested by the Thibodaux Police Department after he allegedly urinated on the exterior of the 17th Judicial Courthouse building during an altercation with officers.

On June 28, just before 2 p.m., TPD was called to the courthouse to assist the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office with an irate suspect.


Upon arrival, officers learned that Larry Jones, 49, of Golden Meadow, had been escorted from a court room per order of the Judge.

Jones then was observed urinating on the exterior of the courthouse before being taken into custody by LPSO. After his arrest, Jones was unruly with Thibodaux Police Officers and yelled obscenities and death threats toward law enforcement and also the judge.

Jones is charged with obscenity, disturbing the peace, resisting an officer and public intimidation.


He was taken to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex where he remains on a $103,250 bond.
