A 34-year-old woman is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and unauthorized use of an access card after a strange incident on Sept. 1 in Thibodaux.

On Friday, September 1, a victim was invited via social media to the hotel room of Chrissy Luke, 34.

According to the Thibodaux Police Department, Luke was staying off the 200 block of North Canal Boulevard in Thibodaux.

The victim told authorities he met Luke at the hotel. Another man was allegedly present at the time and the three had a few drinks.

Sometime later, authorities said the victim was found by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office wandering around the Walmart parking lot in Houma. The victim, who deputies brought home, said he thought he had been drugged because the last thing he remembered was drinking at the hotel with Luke and the man the night before.

The victim said he was missing two phones, a laptop, his wallet and his vehicle – a 2007 Ford Explorer.

The victim tried to contact Luke on social media to get his things, but she allegedly told him that she’s accuse him of rape unless he bought her a vehicle and camper to leave town.

The victim then went back to the hotel and saw Luke driving up in his vehicle.

When Luke saw the victim, she left the scene.

Authorities investigated the case and learned that Luke tried to make a $596.81 purchase at a local sporting goods store with the victim’s card, but was denied because it exceeded a daily card limit.

The victim also got contacted later because Luke allegedly tried to make a $1,000 purchase on Walmart.com, but was blocked.

Authorities looked for Luke throughout last week, finally locating her at her hotel room on Sept. 7.

She was arrested and taken to the Lafourche Parish Jail.

The victim’s vehicle and all of his belongs have been returned – except for the two cell phones.

Thibodaux Police said the investigation is still ongoing.
