Three Lafourche Parish natives are in custody after a traffic stop netting drug-related arrests.

Around 5 p.m. on Monday, a K-9 deputy traveling along La. Highway 308 conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Larose area.

The deputy identified the driver, Waylon Darsey, 34, of Larose, and noticed that he had active warrants, immediately taking him into custody.

A passenger, Crystal Benoit, 34, of Golden Meadow, also had active warrants, and was immediately placed into custody.

The K-9 unit on the scene alerted deputies to the possible presence of narcotics inside the vehicle, which led to a search.

The search led deputies to find three syringes, each containing a liquid substance.

After further investigation, authorities learned that the syringes belongs to another passenger in the vehicle, Satila Boudreaux, 27, of Cut Off.

Authorities said Boudreaux told deputies that the liquid was methamphetamine, which led to Boudreaux being placed under arrest.

All three suspects were taken to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux.

Darsey was booked on active warrants for distribution of methamphetamine and contempt of court. His bond is set for $30,000. Benoit was booked on three active warrants for contempt of court. His bond has been set at $3,000, as well as a $324.50 find in relation to one of the warrants.

Boudreaux was booked on possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Her bond is set at $5,500.
