Two suspects are in custody of the Houma Police Department and another is sought after an armed robbery on Wednesday morning on the 500 block of Louise Street.

Just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, officers were called to the above-listed location to a call of the robbery. Once on the scene, authorities learned that three males entered a residence while armed with weapons. They allegedly demanded money and personal items from the victim. Another occupant of the residence escaped and fled to notify law enforcement.

Shortly thereafter, HPD arrived, secured perimeter and started to search for the suspects.

During investigation, HPD also contacted a male victim who said the 3 males entered his residence with weapons, pointed them at him and demanded money and other personal items. During the incident, the victim stated that something startled the suspects as they exited the residence. The victim said he chased them, but was unsuccessful, but he then notified law enforcement.

The victim gave law enforcement a description of the men – hoping to get them apprehended.

While securing the area, HPD located two of the suspects, taking them both into custody. They were identified as Kevin Brown Jr., 19, of Coteau Road and Mi’Dell Folse, 18, of Levron Street.

HPD also learned that the third man in this case is Ijah Baptiste, 24, of Anthony Drive in Thibodaux. They were not able to locate him during the initial arrests.

As the investigation continued, HPD located multiple weapons, as well as clothing that was discarded by the suspects.
