An 18-year-old fugitive wanted in Terrebonne Parish was arrested on Monday in Lafourche.

At around 4:45 p.m. on Monday, Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies observed a man, identified as Perry McMillon, 18, of Raceland riding an all-terrain vehicle on the roadway near the intersection of St. Phillip Street and Meadow Lane in Raceland. He had a small child with him, as well, according to authorities.

Deputies conducted a stop of the vehicle and made contact with McMillon. Authorities noticed a bulge in the suspect’s waistband and told him to place his hands on the vehicle.

As deputies attempted to grab his hands, McMillon allegedly began to flee on foot.

Authorities pursued the suspect, but then lost sight of him.

But a short time later, he was found hiding in a nearby SUV, which led to his arrest.

During a profile check, LPSO learned that McMillon had active warrants in Terrebonne Parish and also for Louisiana Probation and Parole.

McMillon was charged with possession of a firearm/carrying of a concealed weapon by a convicted felon, child desertion, resisting an officer and operating an off-road vehicle on a roadway.

His bond on those charges is set at $11,600.

McMillon was also booked as a fugitive of Terrebonne Parish due to an outstanding warrant for 17 counts of simple burglary and one count of attempted simple burglary.

He is also being held by Louisiana Probation and Parole due to a probation violation.
